CLOUD & VIRTUALIZATION

What is it and why do I want it?
Cloud computing is simply the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product. This “service” aggregates or groups typical technology components such as applications, servers, and storage and delivers their capabilities over a wide area network – such as the Internet.
Cloud computing offers a number of advantages over traditional on-premise technology, including:

Rapidly scalable capacity
Full utilization of equipment capabilities (like virtualization)
Robust/redundant infrastructure
Significant reduction or complete elimination of equipment/application configuration or maintenance
Increased security due to infrastructure centralization

VCARE provides access to, and support of, a number of “Cloud” technologies such as Public Cloud services, support of Private Cloud/Virtualization at your location or at our facility, as well as cloud based application solutions such as telephony, storage, backup, and business applications.
VCARE is a partner with the Intel Hybrid Cloud. With Hybrid Cloud VCARE can remotely manage and access a full catalog of pre-configured applications to help you choose the software you want to run and easily make changes as you need it. You can rest assured your IT needs can be met remotely through options including firewall/unified threat management (UTM), dependable backup, and disaster recovery. Each software appliance runs on a separate virtual machine, allowing individual management of each appliance and isolation for reconfiguration or troubleshooting by VCARE.

Hybrid Cloud  provides value to you in a number of ways, including:
Acquisition of leading, robust solutions and the ability to compete more effectively
Conservation of capital and credit lines by paying for solutions only as needed
Improved flexibility for your business pay for software on a monthly remotelyge basis
Reduction in the complexity of licensing
Access to experts who manage your solutions
Over the next several years, additional cloud services will become available over better performing and more resilient networks. As a result, many typical technology functions will be deployed to the cloud, allowing Information Technology departments to take advantage of the benefits offered by these services.

Cloud

Cloud

Public Cloud –
Applications, storage, and other resources are made available to the general public by a service provider. Public cloud services may be free or offered on a pay per use model
Private Cloud –
Infrastructure operated solely for a single organization, whether managed internally or by a third-party and hosted internally or externally
Hybrid Cloud –
Infrastructure composed of two or more clouds (private, community, or public) that remain unique entities but are bound together by standardized or proprietary technology that enables data and application portability

Hybrid Solutions

We have found that most of our customers have some applications that are not cloud-enabled. Those that can be moved to the cloud, benefit in terms of cost and high availability. VCARE considers both in creating hybrid cloud services and solutions for our customers.

VIRTUALIZATION

Virtualization is designed to help you use your infrastructure and applications more efficiently. Virtualization is commonly used in the following areas:

Server Virtualization

In a virtualized server environment, several virtual servers run on each physical server, and all storage is shared. Virtualization software and shared storage are key elements in this environment, resulting in dramatic hardware consolidation and improved business continuity. The software creates an optimized “virtual” data center that provides dynamic infrastructure built on industry standards and is flexible to changing business needs.

Storage Virtualization

Storage Virtualization merges physical storage from multiple network storage devices into what appears to be a single storage device that is managed from a central console. VCARE shared storage solutions are specifically engineered for virtualized server and desktop environments.

Desktop Virtualization

VCARE implements Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions. VDI hosts individual Windows desktop PCs inside virtual machines running on servers in the data center. This thin-client architecture enables you to secure, maintain, and support your organization’s complete Windows desktop environment and allows it to be securely accessed and maintained from anywhere.

High Availability

Today’s businesses cannot afford outages or data loss. The Cloud offers redundancy, fault tolerance and business continuity assurance that is affordable for businesses of all sizes. VCARE can help you implement a cost effective design that will keep your business operating no matter what tomorrow brings. VCARE and the Cloud offer a little certainty in an uncertain world.

Disaster Recovery

VCARE works with world class data centers both regionally and globally, in order to provide options that best suit your business needs and ensure that your systems and data can be brought back online quickly if disaster strikes. With redundant power, network access and best of class architecture, VCARE and our Cloud partners offer multiple layers of protection and the confidence that when the dust settles you will be open for business and ready to serve your customers. We work with you to develop a comprehensive plan integrating cloud data backups and recovery processes with our datacenter partners. We also manage the recovery process should you need it.

Hosting

VCARE offers the flexibility and ease of maintenance you need to manage risk and react quickly to your changing business needs. We use multiple data centers and maintain a percentage of available resources to allow you to scale your requirements up when you need them. Because we manage the hardware and environment, your systems will always be up-to-date. Rather than building a dedicated datacenter, we work with existing datacenter providers to leverage their investment in facilities and infrastructure construction cost.

Voice Solutions

In the rapidly evolving world of Omni-Channel communication, voice solutions must merge with other technologies in order to keep your business connected to your customers. Whether it is a move to a voice over IP solution or an integration of chat, text, email and/or social media with voice, we identify and implement the best-of-class solutions for your needs. VCARE provides you the flexibility of the modern mobile office integrated into your environment to reduce overall support costs and eliminating management hassles.

Software as a Service

Software as a Service (SaaS) is becoming more popular as businesses recognize the advantages of lower up-front investment, smaller datacenter footprint, security, and always having the latest release available without engaging in lengthy upgrade projects. We work with you and our partners to provide access to applications in a way most useful to you. This often includes considering (SaaS) along with your on-premise applications to create a comprehensive solution. SaaS can include back-office, line of business, utility applications such as:

Back-Office
Microsoft Office 365Google Apps
Exchange
SharePoint

Line of Business

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Accounting/Financial>
Electronic Health Records (EHR)

Utility
VMware
Active Directory
Anti-Virus/Malware
Backup

Infrastructure as a Service

Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) is becoming more popular for the same reasons as SaaS. Lower up-front investment cost, smaller datacenter footprint, security, and reduced maintenance effort are benefits of IaaS. Like your applications, we work with you and our partners in a way most useful to you. IaaS includes:

  • Routing/Switching
  • Firewalls
  • Load Balancing
  • Virtual and Physical Servers
  • Storage
  • Security Appliance
